I believe that gifts come from God, mine would happen to be photography! Ever since I can remember I have always loved taking pictures, just ask my family. The Lord has certainly given me a passion for his creation and I want to bring him glory by capturing it in the most creative way. As you look through this blog of my photos I hope you enjoy them as much I love taking them.

A Crown of Thorns

Mathew 27:29 "and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, "hail, king of the jews!"

This is a picture I took today, I was watching some horses and noticed the barb wire that kept the horses from escaping out of the pen, keeping them safe. This reminded me immediately of the Fathers love for us, I was reminded of his death. How he died on the cross to save us from Gods wrath. The barb wire is like Christ, if we accept him into our hearts and live for him daily than we will be "safe" from Gods wrath. We will be kept safe in his arms just as the barb wire keeps the horses safe from wandering away from his owner. Its so cool how God allows us to see something so simple as barb wire and think of his Love and care he has for us. It reminded me of how I am truly blessed to be his child and how truly loved I am even when I dont feel it.

So as most of you know this is my new and improved blog for my photography. This year for my birthday my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles pitched in to get me a Nikon D3000. I was so happy! The Lord provided in such a great way this year and I am very thankful for that =]

So for my first family photo shoot I did the McCraws , a really cute family from my church. These were taken with my Uncles old camera from the 80's or 90's, but man did that camera work like a charm!

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them,
